CECCo has acquired or merged with 14 different electrical contractors in a 25-year period (Gregory, Alfred , Ogden, Barr, Bell, Commercial Light, Fries Walters, Goldberg & O’Brien, Hatfield, Hultgren, Kilbar, New Alliance, Crescent, Gilberts).
Leo Witz; past President (Witz Family 2nd generation) was an avid handball player, football player, golfer, artist and a professional engineer, lawyer, and contractor.
William Witz; past President (Witz Family 3rd generation) and adventurist skied 1 million vertical feet, 1.5 million vertical feet, and 2 million vertical feet for three consecutive years.
Harry Witz; past President (Witz Family 1st generation) immigrated to the USA from Latvia in 1908 – Harry was one of many immigrants to climb the 3-story Water Tower to view the city in search for work. image
Eight CECCo office personnel have run a 26.2 mile marathon.
CECCo performed over 1.4 million labor hours; managing a crew of over 710 union electricians in a single year.
CECCo has a fitness center in two of our office locations and ten CECCo office personnel have quit smoking through our smoking cessation class.

Over the past 30 years The Witz Family Foundation has contributed more than $3 million to charities.
We have funded our profit sharing program for 20 consecutive years.
At one point CECCo had built the tallest steel structure in the world; Sears Tower and tallest concrete structure in the world; Water Tower Place.
The Northlake Data Center Project was the largest project in CECCo history – the project demanded over 1.1 million feet of conduit and over 4.7 million feet of cable, which we installed in less than 10 months.
CECCo was once an integral part of a national company, which performed over 4 billion dollars worth of business each year.
CECCo recycles approximately 1 ton of aluminum, metal, and paper each year.
Our safety initiative keeps our EMR between .51 -.65; a level that is one the lowest in the industry.
Daughter of Steven Witz; current Vice President (Witz Family 4th generation) Lindsay Witz recently completed an around the world cruise in just 4 months – Mark Goldberg; Director of Energy Services made the same excursion some 40 years earlier.
CECCo produces over 2000 estimates each year.
David Witz; current President (Witz Family 4th generation) builds homes for the homeless each year.
CECCo owns and maintains 5000 tools and pieces of safety equipment including; over 500 ladders, 300 gang boxes, 500 drills, and 100 conduit benders.
